This Eames DAW Chair is part of the Eames pair's plastic group. It was Charles who designed the very first mass-produced plastic chair in the world, and it comes as no surprise that this series did not stop there.
The Eames DAW Chair is a lot like some of the other Eames plastic chairs; it spots a very minimalistic look and is made of injection-moulded plastic fibreglass. The chair features a slightly high back to support a comfortable sitting position, and it also has a pair of armrests at each side.
Like many other Eames chairs, the frame on the DAW Chair has an Eiffel silhouette design. It has four wooden legs, setting it apart from the visually similar DAR design.
Charles Eames was a designer and architect who became well-known for producing some of the most iconic furniture designs in the world. He often worked together with his wife Ray, and their designs flourished throughout the 1940s and 1950s. However, their popularity has not stopped; the furnishings produced by the Eames couple are still renowned for their high quality and aesthetic beauty.
