Scoop Chair Half Moon

When Eero Aarnio developed the original Scoop Chair based on the design of his own Ball Chair, he visualised a sitting experience that brought the user low to the ground, simulating the relaxation provided by a bed or futon but without the same rigid formality.

While the Scoop Half Moon Chair may not be as widely known as the original Scoop Chair design, it's still just as versatile and ergonomically functional as the latter. Taking the concept of the Scoop Chair and raising it off the floor, the Scoop Half Moon design provides the same level of comfort while simultaneously clearing up floor space.

The Scoop Half Moon Chair uses a coloured fibreglass shell as its exterior and a lightly padded interior to maximise user comfort. The chair rests on a stainless steel base plate about 30 cm off the floor. This chair is available in several different colour variations and can easily fit into any type of home or office décor.
