Verner Panton inspired Cone Chair

The Cone Chair is a beautiful and magnificent piece, and is a perfect choice for anyone looking to add some liveliness and personality to their home.

It starts at a very small point near the base, expanding outward neat the top. The back of the chair is rather high, with an attractive curved shape. The seat is formed from a space cut into the centre of the cone, and the sitter's body is cradled by the sides which form a steep slope from the back. With its soft, thick padding, the Cone Chair is incredibly comfortable to sit in, even for extended periods of time.

The Cone Chair is mounted on a polished stainless steel base, which forms a wide “X” shape so as to support the chair's weight.

The swivel base makes it so that the chair is also able to pivot. The chair comes in a variety of colours and is great for both formal and casual environments. It was originally designed by Verner Panton in 1958 for use in a Danish restaurant, and a slightly modified version was produced later.

This variation, called the Cone Stool, is essentially the same as the Cone Chair but for the fact that it lacks the back and arm supports.
