This Eames inspired La Chaise lounge chair is one of the more unique Eames creations. While most Eames chairs feature a more subdued, subtle appearance, this one is rather striking in its unusual form.
The designs produced by Charles Eames and his wife Ray have become some of the most iconic pieces of furniture to date. The couple created most of their designs in the 1940s and 1950s, and remain popular due to the artistic touch they implemented into their work.
The seat of this lounge chair is made from the highest quality fibreglass and sits on stainless steel legs set in a crossed real wood base. It features a rather abstract shape. Despite this, however, it is still very comfortable to sit in, and the seat is supported by a group of straight metal legs affixed to a wooden base.
The Eames pieces tend to incorporate lovely minimalistic designs, making them look sleek and attractive, yet professional and fit for use in formal environments.
