The Le Corbusier inspired LC2 Sofa was created by Swiss architect, designer and painter Le Corbusier (born Charles-Édouard Jeanneret) in the late 1920s. The sofa is truly a work of modern minimalist art, boasting an aesthetic that was considered highly revolutionary at the time of its design.
The Le Corbusier LC2 Sofa's main selling point is that it manages to look gorgeous and unique without being flashy or gaudy in any way. Instead, its appearance is beautifully simple. The overall form of the LC2 Sofa can best be described as boxy.
The sofa features multiple large, rectangular cushions, each stacked together in a wonderfully neat and orderly form. The thick, multi-density padding is upholstered in leather, giving the sofa a very professional and formal look.
Perhaps one of the most striking things about this sofa is its frame; unlike most pieces of furniture, where the frame is usually the least prominent part of the overall construction, the LC2 Sofa features a very impressive external frame, which seems to box the couch together from the outside. The frame is made out of very resilient stainless steel tubes which feature mirror polish.
The LC2 Sofa comes in several subdued colours and seats up to three people. It is a great addition to any lounge or living room.
