Swan Sofa

The Swan sofa was designed in 1958 for the Royal Hotel in Copenhagen. It was to be used in the suites, lounges and Panoramic room on the 21^st floor of the building.

The sofa can be seen as an outstretched version of the Swan chair that Jacobsen also designed, made to seat two people instead of one. It is available in coverings of various forms of fabric and it also features a shaker base made of moulded aluminum.

The Swan sofa is upholstered with foam, helping to give it its smooth, curving shape. This sofa is great for any setting; it looks beautiful in just about any room and can be used to add a bit of elegance and grace to its surroundings. It works well in living rooms, but office and lounge environments are perfect for it as well.

Arne Jacobsen was a Danish architect and designer, renowned for the great contributions he made to architectural functionalism. He is also well-known for producing some of the most iconic furniture designs to date.

Like many other famous designers, Jacobsen was fond of abstract, somewhat unusual visual styles, and his designs clearly reflect that. The Swan sofa is among his best pieces, with its sleek, simplistic appearance.
